Tangiers was inspired by a sample (un échantillon) of hand woven Belgian silk that Susan found at a textiles fair in France. It still had a brown cardboard label on it with a description of the fabric in copperplate handwriting in slightly faded ink. The colours of the original were very classical pinks, greens and creams, so Susan updated it with a more contemporary palette that works very well in both modern interiors and old houses, particularly with plain or patterned pastel walls. This fabric is reversible so you can have slightly stronger or slightly softer colour as you wish.
Tangiers is suitable for curtains, fabric walling, cushions and, if backed, for light upholstery.
Woven in England.
